In a daylight robbery, two unidentified men dressed as food delivery agents looted a jewellery shop in Ghaziabad’s Brij Vihar area on Thursday. The entire heist took just six minutes, during which they made off with gold, silver, and cash worth around Rs 30 lakh.

The robbery took place at Mansi Jewellers, located near the residence of the owner, Krishna Kumar Verma. Around 3.30 pm, while Verma was out for lunch, the robbers arrived on a motorcycle wearing Swiggy and Blinkit uniforms, complete with delivery helmets to hide their identities.

At that time, only one employee, Shubham, was inside the store. CCTV footage of the incident, which has now gone viral on social media, shows the duo entering the shop with pistols in hand.

They threatened Shubham at gunpoint and physically assaulted him before forcing him to unlock the storage cabinets. Within minutes, they collected approximately 125 grams of gold jewellery, 20 kilograms of silver, and Rs 30,000 in cash. The robbers then fled the scene, allegedly heading toward Delhi.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sahibabad, Shweta Yadav, confirmed that the robbery occurred between 3.30 pm and 3.36 pm. "Five police teams have been formed to investigate the matter. We are closely analysing CCTV footage from the shop and the surrounding areas. The role of the employee present during the robbery is also under scrutiny," Yadav said.

Verma was informed immediately after the robbery by Shubham, and he promptly contacted the police. Senior officers, including Additional CP Alok Priyadarshi, DCP (Trans-Hindon) Nimish Patil, and ACP Yadav, reached the spot soon after.

“Two unknown individuals on motorcycles entered his jewellery shop, threatened his employee with a weapon, and fled after looting approximately 20 kilograms of silver and 125 grams of gold. Upon receiving the information, the local police immediately inspected the incident site, and six teams have been formed to investigate the case. Based on the written complaint, a case is being registered. Further necessary legal proceedings are underway," said Nimish Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Trans Hindon.
