City Union Bank, private sector bank headquartered in Tamil Nadu's Kumbakonam, has announced the recruitment for the position of Managing Director & CEO.

The bank published the vacancy advertisement in newspapers on Friday. The role is open to experienced banking professionals with at least 25 years of experience, including a minimum of five years in senior leadership positions in banks or financial institutions, covering key areas such as risk management, digital banking, compliance, and technology.

Applicants must currently hold a whole-time director equivalent role in a commercial bank and demonstrate skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer relationship management. Educational qualifications include a graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized university, with additional professional certifications considered an advantage. The appointment will be on a contract basis for three years, subject to approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Remuneration will be in line with industry standards and also subject to RBI approval.

Candidates must meet regulatory requirements, with no pending vigilance cases or adverse observations from the RBI. Proficiency in Tamil is highly desirable given the bank's significant operations in Tamil Nadu. The last date for submission of applications, including a CV and a recent passport-size photograph, is November 7, 2025. Applications can be submitted via email or post, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.

The bank will finalise the selection process at its discretion. All supporting documents must be accurate and complete, as incomplete submissions may be rejected without notice.
