What happened when Mahindra fused with Batman? A limited-run electric SUV!

The Batman Edition is based on the Mahindra BE 6's Pack Three 79kWh variant.

Mahindra & Mahindra has added a new chapter to its electric SUV journey, something that is very unique and has been done for the first time in the world. It has introduced the Batman Edition of the BE 6 electric SUV, but in limited numbers.

The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition builds on the Pack Three 79kWh variant of the electric SUV, incorporating unique cinematic-inspired design cues developed in collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products.

While the BE 6 Batman Edition can be had at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex‑showroom) without a charger, buyers can opt for a 7.2 kW charger for Rs 50,000 or an 11.2kW charger for Rs 75,000. This special edition model is limited to just 300 units.

Bookings for the BE 6 Batman Edition will begin on August 23, and deliveries are scheduled to start on September 20, aligning with International Batman Day.

The BE 6 Batman Edition is finished in Satin Black paint and carries custom Batman decals. It is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and features Alchemy Gold-painted suspension components and brake callipers. The rear section displays a unique 'BE 6 × The Dark Knight' badge. Bat emblems are positioned on the hub caps, quarter panels and rear panels. The Infinity Roof also carries Batman insignia, while the carpet lamps project the Bat symbol on the ground.

Inside the cabin, a brushed Alchemy Gold Batman Edition plaque with serial numbering is placed on the dashboard. The instrument panel is finished in charcoal leather, and the upholstery combines suede and leather with gold-sepia contrast stitching. Multiple surfaces, including the seats and interior labels, are embedded with Bat emblems. Gold accents extend to the steering wheel, the in-touch controller, and the electric parking brake. The boost button is embossed with the Batman insignia. The infotainment system carries a Batman-themed welcome animation, while the exterior sound profile has also been customised to match the edition.

The BE 6 Batman Edition will look to tap into a niche segment, targeting EV buyers with fandom appeal, offering thematic exclusivity unlike any current SUV variant in India.
