TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of 'TVS Indus' Design Honours, a new annual initiative aimed at encouraging design innovation rooted in Indian culture and creativity.
The company described TVS Indus as a national platform that will engage students, young professionals, and design enthusiasts in reimagining mobility through culturally relevant and environmentally conscious concepts. Entries are open for individual participants across India, with the challenge centred on four regional themes -- Thar, Sahyadri, Kutch and Mumbai.
Participants will have to submit original concepts across monowheel, two-wheeler, and three-wheeler formats. Judging will be based on parameters such as originality, contextual relevance, user-centricity, and feasibility. Submissions will close on October 6, 2025.
"Design is the bridge between imagination and impact. With TVS Indus Design Honours, we are creating a platform where the next generation of designers, thinkers and creators can reimagine Indian mobility as an original, culturally rooted expression of who we are and where we are headed," said Amit Rajwade, Vice President, Design, TVS Motor Company.
"This platform intends to promote Design among the Indian youth and nurture talent from both design and non-design backgrounds to help shape not just how we move but ignite the global conversation on the future of mobility," he added.
Winners of the challenge stand to gain cash prizes up to Rs 5 lakh, a Viewers' Choice award, and possible internships with TVS Motor's design team. The jury will comprise eminent names from the design and mobility sectors.
The initiative draws its name from the Indus Valley Civilisation, symbolising TVS Motor's aspiration to combine India's ancient design legacy with future-forward thinking. Registration and submission are free and open now via the official website.
