Tata Motors has unveiled Curvv.ev and Curvv ICE - two variants of what is being called as India's first SUV Coupe, with the EV version set for a launch next month on August 7, the company said.
The car is being positioned for the aspirational mid-SUV category, aimed at families, and offers the practicality of an SUV with in a coupe design, Tata Motors added.
“With the Curvv we will address a wide variety of needs of the mid SUV customers, providing them with a fresh and delightfully designed product complimented by premium performance,” Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility said.
Tata Motors is likely to launch the EV version first, on August 7, with petrol and diesel variants to follow soon. It is expected that the coupe SUV’s pricing and features will be aimed to take on the competition in the mid-size SUV segment.
Tata Motors added that the SUV Curvv will come with several smart features that were usually found in higher-segment vehicles. Curvv will come with panoramic glass roof and a boot space that has been reconfigured to offer increased storage space.
