Skoda Auto India will launch the Slavia facelift in the country in the fourth quarter of the current calendar year (CY), 2026. The Skoda Slavia is based in the sedan segment and rivals the likes of the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.

The Skoda Slavia mid-size sedan is one of the two major facelift launches planned by the carmaker for the Indian market in CY26, with the other being the Skoda Kushaq mid-size SUV.

While the Kushaq facelift was revealed earlier this week, its customer deliveries will start by the end of March. Skoda is planning to introduce the Slavia facelift in Q4 CY26.

While both Kushaq and Slavia are based on the India-specific MQB-A0-IN platform, Slavia initially entered the Indian market in February 2022. It is currently priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Looking at the Kushaq facelift, we can assume that the Slavia facelift will get a redesigned front and rear with new LED headlight and taillight units. There will also be a new set of alloy wheels.

Skoda is expected to update the cabin of the Slavia facelift with fresh upholstery for seats, new touchscreen infotainment and instrument cluster units and a few more features. The carmaker might also democratise several features, providing them even in the base variant, as it did with the Kushaq facelift.

Under the hood, the Slavia currently gets two engine options -- 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol (115PS and 178Nm) and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol (150PS and 250Nm). While the 1.0-litre unit has 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT choices, the 1.5-litre unit gets a 7-speed DSG. Skoda replaced the 6-speed AT with a new 8-speed AT on the Kushaq facelift. We expect a similar change on the Slavia facelift.
