Information technology major Infosys has introduced a new AI-first Global Capability Centre (GCC) model aimed at helping enterprises set up and transform their captive centres into technology and innovation hubs.
The company, in a release, said the offering is built on its agentic AI stack, including Infosys Agentic Foundry, EdgeVerve AI Next, and Infosys Topaz, and is targeted at firms looking to scale operations and embed AI across business functions.
The initiative builds on Infosys’ previous work with more than 100 local GCC units across industries. The company has earlier helped set up and operate centers for Lufthansa Systems, zooplus, and Danske Bank.

What the model does
According to Bengaluru-headquartered services exporter, the model provides an end-to-end approach covering strategy development, site selection, entity setup, recruitment, and operational launch.
It also offers AI-led transformation capabilities, talent development programs through Infosys Springboard, and multiple operating models such as BOT and partner-hosted options.

Infosys said the three core technology components are designed to help GCCs build and run production-grade AI agents, develop reusable AI platforms, and apply AI across the GCC lifecycle.
Client examples
Lufthansa Systems uses its GCC set up with Infosys to develop aviation IT products and data-led solutions, with generative AI supporting work on safety, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Danske Bank said its GCC, operational for two years, has become central to its AI-first strategy. The bank uses tools like GitHub Copilot and has built reusable Gen AI platforms for customer service, compliance, risk, and other business functions.
