Police probes after man gets more than 100 unwanted pizzas in a week - all free of cost

The police which are investigating the matter said a case of fraud doesn’t build up as the lawyer can refuse to take the orders and he does not have to pay even a penny

Most among us would love a surprise pizza but what if you get 30 of them delivered to your doorstep without you ordering even one! End of surprise, right?

A German lawyer is going through the same problem and has sought the help of police as someone ordered over 100 pizzas to his office address and some of them are still on way.

Guido Grolle, a resident of Dortmund, said that his office has received more than 100 pizzas from various restaurants in the span of two weeks and apparently no one in his office ordered them.

Grolle, talking to German publication Waz, said that he gets emails announcing the delivery of pizza even while he is in the shower. "It's really annoying," he says, "you can hardly get to work."

Grolle said, he could not explain who is behind it, whether a disgruntled client or his opponents. On one morning he received pre-order announcement of as many as 15 pizzas within 27 minutes. "Nobody can order that fast," he adds.

The police which is investigating the matter said a case of fraud doesn’t build up as the lawyer can refuse to take the orders and he does not have to pay even a penny. However, the real victims are the pizza shop owners who prepare pizza only to be returned back.
