CII to train 1,500 rural engineering students in TN

Chennai, Aug 8 (PTI): Industry body CII today said it would train about 1,500 students of various colleges in rural areas in Tamil Nadu through its ''Employability Bridge" programme. The programme aimed at training the students to suit industry needs making them more employable. It has been developed with special curriculum which would be taught in colleges, CII Tamil Nadu State council Chairman N K Ranganath told reporters here. He said this year alone about 100 companies across various sectors were expected to be benefitted through this programme. "It has been developed to train the students of tier-II cities", he said, adding it helps the students to improve their skills so that they become employable.
