22:34 There's a full HD OLED display and no headphone jack.

22:32 There's a 5-inch display on Pixel 2 and a 6-inch display on Pixel XL 2.

21:30 Google's Daydream VR headsets are expected to get a revamp. The updated VR headset could come in three colours - charcoal, coral and fog - and could be priced at USD 99 against the current USD 79.

21:25 The event is expected to begin in the next five minutes. You can watch the live telecast here.

21:20 Another expected launch is that of the Pixelbook, a new high-end Chromebook device.

The Chrome OS-based laptop is expected to be priced between USD 1,199 and USD 1,749 and is expected to come with its own range of accessories such as a smart pencil.

21:10 Reports in the media had previously carried 'leaked' images of Google's new Home Mini.

The device is the smaller version of the Google Home speaker and is expected to be priced at USD 50, putting it directly in competition with Amazon's Echo Dot. Amazon had recently revamped its Echo family of devices.

20:56 According to a leaked image, the devices will have a search bar at the bottom, instead of its current position on top. You will be able to add minimalistic widgets to the home screen in place of the search bar.

20:50 While the Pixel phones are not expected to do away with the bezel completely like its rivals Galaxy S8 and Apple's iPhone X, the phones will have a reduced bezel.

There have been reports that the new phones may not feature headphone jacks and may have stereo speakers.

20:45 In fact, the technology giant may be unveiling two phones, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

20:40 The latest Pixel device is will compete with Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus and Samsung's Galaxy S8 smartphones.

20:30 Good evening! Google is expected to shortly announce a host of products at one if its biggest events in several years. Prime among them will be the launch of latest flagship smartphone Google Pixel 2.
