Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed Essar Oil petition in sales tax case, reports CNBC-TV18.

Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed Essar Oil petition in sales tax case, reports CNBC-TV18.

Essar Oil touched an intraday high of Rs 59.60 and an intraday low of Rs 56.20. At 13:33 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 57.05, down Rs 2.70, or 4.52%.

It was trading with volumes of 1,612,856 shares. In the previous trading session, the share closed up 9.63% or Rs 5.25 at Rs 59.75.

The company touched its 52-week high Rs 147.80 and 52-week low Rs 44.80 on 11 Apr, 2011 and 18 Jan, 2012, respectively. Currently, it is trading -61.4% below its 52-week high and 27.34% above its 52-week low. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 7,791.13 crore.
