HSBC India appoints new Marketing Head

HSBC India on Monday announced the appointment of Srikanth Srinivasamadhavan as Head of Marketing for HSBC India.

HSBC India on Monday announced the appointment of Srikanth Srinivasamadhavan as Head of Marketing for HSBC India.


His rich and varied experience will help him in positioning the HSBC brand in India as the bank of choice for India''s growing retail and wealth management and corporate consumers, a press release issued here stated.


Prior to joining HSBC, he worked with Hindustan Unilever across many marketing and leadership roles.


In his last role, he was Head of Media Services, South Asia, for Hindustan Unilever, where he was responsible for the FMCG major's media planning, strategy, budgeting and deployment across product categories.


Prior to this role Srikanth was the Category Head of skin cleansing category for Hindustan Unilever and was responsible for brands such as Lux, Lifebuoy and Dove.


He replaces Maitri Kumar who has returned to the US for personal reasons, the release said.


HSBC India's Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Gannesh Bharadhwaj, said, "we are delighted to announce Srikanth's appointment to this role. He brings with him highly valuable experience in the marketing domain and a deep understanding of consumers; his leading edge strategic capability will be key in leading HSBC India''s marketing initiatives."
