How do I create a Portfolio?

To create a Portfolio, you need to login to Moneycontrol.com. When you click on your portfolio, it will show your initial Net Worth as 0. Here, you need to add your investments, which could be either Stocks, Mutual Funds, ULIPs, or others. You can click on the “Add Transaction” button on each asset class and add the particular investment.

Example: If you are adding Tata Steel, you will search for, and add the Tata Steel stock. To track it closely, you may want to add the purchase date, the number of shares, the purchase price, as well as some notes about this investment. Similarly, you can add other stocks, or other types of investments.

You do not necessarily have to be on the Portfolio page to add your investments. You can also add Stocks and Mutual Funds while viewing the price (or other details) on the stock price page, on other data pages or on the Mutual Fund scheme pages.
