Global leaders and prominent figures, from Donald Trump to Bill Gates, extend heartfelt wishes to PM Modi on his 75th birthday, celebrating his leadership and international partnerships.

US President Donald Trump was the first world leader to wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, making a phone call late Tuesday evening, the first conversation between the two since June 17.

The call, Trump’s second outreach to Modi in recent days, goes beyond standard birthday greetings, signaling a possible thaw in India–US relations following weeks of tension over trade and energy ties with Russia. Modi expressed his gratitude to Trump for the gesture on the eve of his birthday, which falls on September 17.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, praising his "enormous personal contribution" in deepening ties between Moscow and New Delhi.

In a message shared on the Kremlin website, Putin wrote, "Dear Mr. Prime Minister, please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your 75th birthday. You are making a great personal contribution to strengthening the special privileged strategic partnership between our countries, to developing mutually beneficial Russian-Indian cooperation in various areas."

He further noted that Modi has earned "the high respect of his compatriots and enormous authority on the world stage" through his leadership.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni extended birthday wishes to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, praising his leadership, determination, and ability to inspire millions.

"Happy 75th birthday to the Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi. His strength, his determination, and his ability to lead millions of people are a source of inspiration. With friendship and esteem, I wish him health and energy to continue leading India toward a bright future and to further strengthen the relations between our Nations," she posted on X.


On his 75th birthday, PM Modi receives birthday wishes from Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu, praising India-Israel friendship and achievements.



Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese extended greetings, praising the strong India–Australia partnership: “Happy birthday to my friend Prime Minister Modi. Australia is proud to share such a strong friendship with India, and we’re grateful every day for the incredible contribution of the Indian community here in Australia.”

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon also conveyed his wishes, sharing a video message on X to congratulate PM Modi on his milestone birthday.


On PM Modi's 75th birthday, UK’s former PM Rishi Sunak extends greetings and best wishes. Sunak says, "It is a great pleasure to wish Prime Minister Modi a happy 75th birthday. In these uncertain times, we all need good friends, and Modi Ji has always been a good friend to me and to Britain. I'm delighted to see UK-India ties going from strength to strength."

Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also extends his greetings and best wishes.

Mauritius PM Navinchandra Ramgoolam wishes PM Modi a happy 75th birthday, praising his leadership and wishing him good health.


Guyana’s President praises PM Modi’s transformative leadership and global impact while wishing him on his 75th birthday.

Dominica’s Prime Minister hails PM Modi as a visionary leader, celebrating strong bilateral ties and wishing him a happy 75th birthday.

Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, wrote to the Prime Minister to offer heartfelt greetings and to wish him continued good health.

“As India’s longest staying guest,” he wrote, “I have witnessed firsthand the far-reaching development and prosperity that have taken place over the years. I congratulate you on the growing confidence and strength that have occurred in recent times. India’s success also contributes to global development.”

“I consider myself a proud messenger of India, and regularly express my admiration for India, the world’s most populous and largest democracy, for its remarkable and deeply rooted religious pluralism. India presents an example of harmony and stability to the world. For us Tibetans, India has not only been the source of our spiritual heritage, but for more than sixty-six years, has also been our physical home. I would like to once again extend our deep gratitude to the Government and people of India for their warm and generous hospitality,” the spiritual leader wrote in his letter.
