Israeli forces have released body camera footage from an operation carried out in parts of Lebanon that they say were connected to the militant group Hezbollah. The visuals, published on Thursday by the Israel Defence Forces, show soldiers moving through a damaged structure following an explosion during the operation.

The footage appears to capture Israeli troops inspecting the remains of a building that had been heavily damaged. According to the Israeli military, the location had been used by Hezbollah operatives. The operation reportedly took place in areas including Beirut and parts of southern Lebanon.

Israel has frequently launched strikes in southern Lebanon, maintaining that Hezbollah maintains a presence there.

The Israeli military also said its troops remain deployed along the border area, describing the deployment as part of efforts to safeguard communities in northern Israel. Over the past week, Israeli soldiers conducted several operations at night in southern Lebanon, according to the military.

In a statement shared on X, the Israeli military said, "IDF troops continue to maintain a forward defensive posture to protect the residents of northern Israel. Over the past week, our troops conducted targeted night operations in southern Lebanon, dismantling Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure."

The release of the footage comes after Hezbollah fired rockets into Israel. The group said the action was in response to what it described as the unilateral war launched by Tel Aviv and the United States against Iran, as well as the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Amid the rising tensions, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz warned that Lebanon could face damage to its infrastructure if Hezbollah was not disarmed. The warning was delivered during a meeting with Eyal Zamir and other senior military officials.

"This is only the beginning. The Lebanese state will pay an increasing price through damage to infrastructure used by Hezbollah terrorists," Katz said during the briefing.

Separately, the Israeli Air Force said it had carried out large scale strikes inside Iran over the past 24 hours. A report by The Gulf Today said more than 200 targets in western and central Iran were hit, resulting in the deaths of over 100 fighters and the destruction of more than 60 command and control centres associated with the Radwan Force.

The developments come amid continuing hostilities since the United States and Israel launched attacks on Tehran and other Iranian cities. In the past 15 days, more than 1,500 people have reportedly been killed in Iran.

Among the casualties were 170 children who died in an American missile strike on an elementary girls’ school in Minab.
