U.S. Marks 24th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks | Memorial Ceremonies Held

The United States is commemorating the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in 2001. A solemn ceremony will be held at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York, with the Bell of Hope ringing at 8:46 a.m. to mark the moment the first plane struck the Twin Towers. Observances were also held at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
