US President Donald Trump hosted a dinner for members of Congress on Friday night in the newly renovated White House Rose Garden, calling the gathering the “Rose Garden Club.” Addressing around 100 attendees, mostly House Republicans and some GOP senators, Trump thanked them for supporting his legislation.
Welcoming the guests, President Trump highlighted the Rose Garden’s redesign, noting that the central grass patch had been replaced with decorative tiles. “We call it the Rose Garden Club. And it's a club for senators, for congresspeople and for people in Washington, and frankly, people that can bring peace and success to our country," he said.

Trump added that tech executives he dined with, including Bill Gates, Tim Cook, and Mark Zuckerberg, were meant to be the first to enjoy the space, though that dinner was moved indoors due to rain.
During his address, Trump detailed what he called the “Great Big Beautiful Bill,” highlighting its tax provisions for working-class Americans.
“It gives the greatest tax cuts in the history of our country. When you think No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Social Security, No Tax on Overtime — these are working class things," he said, stressing the bill’s focus on economic relief.
"Pray for our members of the military and intelligence community and law enforcement and so many first responders that they are in harm’s way tonight as we are in safety," before the dinner was served, Trump led a short prayer, seeking strength and protection for those serving the nation.
