Anti-ageing millionaire and “longevity expert” Bryan Johnson is facing serious charges for inappropriate conduct at the workplace, including walking almost naked and even discussing his “sexual activities, including erections".
Former employees have accused the tech entrepreneur of creating an uncomfortable work environment through bizarre behaviour.
He also engaged in flirtatious conversations with Blueprint’s female staff, leaving employees uneasy, according to the New York Times. The allegations are based on interviews with 30 people who have worked closely with the anti-age millionaire.
The allegations come amidst increasing scrutiny of Johnson’s use of confidentiality agreements to control his public image and business operations.
Earlier, at least three former employees have filed complaints with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), challenging the legality of these agreements and accusing Johnson of silencing dissent.
Matt Bruenig, the lawyer representing the former employees, said that Johnson’s use of these agreements was designed to keep people silent.
“His goal was to use these contractual agreements to keep everyone quiet,” he said.
Meanwhile, Johnson has defended the confidentiality agreements and said
confidentiality agreements “try to create clear boundaries and expectations, so that trust isn’t left to chance.”
"I post nudes on social media. I track my nighttime erections. My team openly discusses my semen health. We make dank memes. Rather than letting people walk in blind, we disclose this upfront, in writing, so there are no surprises. This isn’t coercion," he posted on X.
"It’s transparency. This practice is fair to all concerned and is in everyone’s best interest. If someone doesn’t align with our culture, they are free to work elsewhere. No one is forced to sign anything. The opt-in agreement exists to ensure that people understand and consent to the environment. It eliminates ambiguity and prevents misunderstandings," he added.
