Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm and heartfelt welcome in Jeddah on Tuesday, marking his third visit to the Kingdom.

A Saudi singer, Hasim Abbas, performed the patriotic Indian song "Ae Watan," followed by a traditional dance by Indian performers.

The cultural display highlighted the deep bond between the Indian community in Saudi Arabia and their homeland, underscoring the strong ties that exist between the two nations.

As Prime Minister Modi's aircraft entered Saudi airspace, it was escorted by the Royal Saudi Air Force, a rare gesture of respect. Upon landing, he was greeted with a traditional 21-gun salute, highlighting the importance of the visit.

When stepped into the city, members of the Indian community welcomed him with chants of "Modi, Modi" and waved the Indian tricolour in celebration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in Saudi Arabia for two days at the invitation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

This is PM Modi’s third visit to Saudi Arabia, following previous trips in 2016 and 2019. PM Modi is the first Indian PM in 40 years to visit Jeddah.
