Multiple Nepali media platforms reported that Rajyalaxmi Chitrakar, the wife of former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, died after their house was set on fire. According to reports, the incident occurred outside the former PM and his wife's residence in Dallu. Protesters reportedly trapped Rajyalaxmi Chitrakar and set the house on fire.

Nepal’s finance minister Bishnu Paudel was reportedly attacked by a crowd of protesters, according to a viral video on social media. Although the person’s face is not clearly visible, multiple reports claimed that the individual was Paudel.

Nepalese PM KP Sharma Oli resigned on Tuesday as the protests intensified. Earlier, several cabinet ministers resigned since the protest began on September 8. Oli's resignation comes after at least 19 protestors were reportedly killed and 100 injured, including security personnel.
Nepal President Ramchandra Paudel also resigned on Tuesday. He appealed to all parties to exercise restraint and come forward for dialogue to resolve the the crisis. "The country is going through a difficult situation," he said. He urged all, including the agitating Gen Z, to cooperate to find a peaceful way out.

Protesters also set fire to Nepal’s Parliament building. Residences of political leaders, including PM Oli’s private residence, and offices of major parties were also attacked with stones and fire by protestors on Tuesday.

Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu was also shut down due to the unrest. Indian airlines like IndiGo and Air India also cancelled their flights to and from Kathmandu.

Meanwhile, Kathmandu mayor Balendra Shah, also known as ‘Balen’ is being backed by some of the Gen Z protestors for PM. Shah, who stood in support of the Gen Z protestors, started trending after the government rolled back the ban on social media platforms.
