A new poll shows US President Donald Trump continues to enjoy overwhelming support among his core MAGA base, even as the conflict with Iran intensifies. Speaking on CNN’s News Central, data analyst Harry Enten highlighted findings from an NBC News survey indicating that 100 percent of self-identified MAGA supporters approve of Trump, with zero registering disapproval.
“Sometimes you look at the polling data and there are numbers that just jump off the screen at you and this is one of those,” Enten said. “You don’t have to be a mathematical genius to know you can’t go higher than one hundred percent.”

He compared Trump’s standing among MAGA voters to “the 1972 Miami Dolphins,” the only NFL team to complete a perfect season, underscoring the level of loyalty within the movement.
“Now, there are some Republicans who disapprove of Donald John Trump, but they are not members of the Make America Great Again movement,” Enten added. “The bottom line is this: if you are a member of MAGA, you approve of Donald Trump.”
The polling comes as the war in Iran enters its third week, raising concerns about regional stability and global economic impact. Despite criticism from some conservative commentators, including Tucker Carlson, who has called the military campaign “absolutely disgusting and evil,” support within the MAGA base remains firm.
CNN anchor Sara Sidner noted the contrast between such criticism and Trump’s earlier positioning as a “candidate of peace,” questioning whether any erosion in support was visible.
Enten dismissed the idea of a shrinking base, pointing to data showing that 30 percent of Americans now identify as MAGA supporters, up from 28 percent in November 2024. “That 100% that Donald Trump has among MAGA GOP, that is not an artifact of MAGA shrinking,” he said. “It’s just an indication of how strong Donald Trump’s grip is on that MAGA base.”
He also cited additional polling suggesting that 90 percent of MAGA voters support Trump’s military strikes on Iran, with only a small minority opposed.
However, broader public opinion appears more divided. A recent survey found that 57 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s overall performance, including his handling of the situation in Iran, highlighting a clear gap between his core supporters and the wider electorate.
