White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has once again sparked attention online after removing her husband’s face from recent social media photos, nearly a month after facing accusations of digitally altering his appearance.
According to The Mirror US, the 28-year-old shared a series of wholesome Sunday moments with her 16-month-old son Niko, including baking cinnamon rolls and enjoying family time. In one post captioned “Coffee + play time in bed,” Leavitt showed her toddler and husband, Nicholas Riccio, sitting on the bed—but this time, Riccio’s face was cropped out of the frame.
Other snapshots showed Leavitt reading the Bible and decorating for Christmas. One post was captioned, “And the Christmas tree went up this year…we were feeling it. Tis the season.” The photos were later deleted.
The move comes after Leavitt was criticised for allegedly airbrushing her husband’s face in previous posts. Riccio, who is 32 years older than Leavitt, had appeared in photos that many followers claimed were digitally altered to make him look younger.
Commenters quickly pointed out the inconsistencies. One wrote, “The airbrushing of your hubs face to make him appear younger was the trick.” Another said, “Karoline, Awesome picture but my friends noticed something: The guy on the left seems to have only his face photoshopped. His hands look like 60+ years old. What happened?”
Others focused on the couple’s age gap. “Why does her husband look 50 but she only 28 yrs old?” one person asked. Another joked, “Man that smoothing filter on her old man’s forehead working overtime.”
The comments section continued to fill with trolls and critics accusing Leavitt of using editing tools. “Lol you photoshopped your old geezer husband,” one user wrote, while another quipped, “You can’t hide your grandhusband’s old age with Photoshop girl!”
