In a major retaliatory move, Iran launched a ballistic missile strike on Israel’s southern city of Dimona on March 21, following an earlier attack on its nuclear facility in Natanz.
Medics said more than 20 people were injured, including a 10-year-old child and a 40-year-old woman, both reported to be in moderate condition, Times of Israel and Jerusalem Post reported.
The missile made a direct hit on a building in the city, the Israeli media said citing rescue officials.
The Israel Defense Forces said Home Front Command search and rescue teams were deployed to the site of the Iranian ballistic missile strike in Dimona, according to Times of Israel.

Iranian outlet Tehran Times said Dimona houses Israel’s primary nuclear facility, describing the strike as retaliation for an “Israeli-American airstrike” on Iran’s Natanz nuclear site.
Israel's military confirmed the strike, saying an Iranian missile struck the southern town of Dimona. The army told AFP there was a "direct missile hit on a building" in the town in the Negev desert.
Israel maintains a policy of nuclear ambiguity, neither confirming nor denying the possession of nuclear weapons.
At the centre of this ambiguity is the Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center, a heavily guarded complex in the Negev Desert near Dimona. While it contains a nuclear reactor, the facility is not a commercial power plant and does not supply electricity to the national grid.
Officially described as a centre for “research into atomic science,” it is widely believed by international experts and intelligence agencies to be the core of Israel’s undeclared nuclear weapons programme.
Iranian media had earlier reported that US and Israeli forces struck the Shahid Ahmadi-Roshan Natanz enrichment complex on Saturday morning, adding that technical assessments found no radioactive leakage and no threat to nearby residents. Israel said it had no knowledge of such an operation, while the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency said the agency was looking into the reports.
Subsequent Iranian media reports said strikes also targeted a passenger terminal in the southern port city of Bushehr, as well as an empty vessel near Kharg Island. The island, which handles the bulk of Iran’s oil exports, is widely viewed as a strategic target in the event of any US escalation involving energy infrastructure or a potential ground operation.
