Billionaire entrepreneur and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, on Sunday, accused the mainstream media of downplaying his company’s recent mission to rescue two astronauts stranded at the International Space Station (ISS) for eight months.
Taking to microblogging site X, Musk claimed that media outlets are deliberately ignoring his accomplishments while spreading negative narratives about him.
"The goal of the left is to destroy my influence. So they relentlessly push negative propaganda about me like the fake Nazi stuff and ignore anything positive. They are evil," Musk wrote.

His remarks came after popular podcaster Joe Rogan criticised what he described as a media blackout on SpaceX’s role in bringing the astronauts home safely.
Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, he expressed frustration over the lack of coverage for what he called a historic moment in space exploration.
"They're trying to sht on everything he does and hide all the good stuff," Rogan said. "You didn't hear a peep about Elon rescuing those astronauts. That should have been livestreamed on all of the news all day long."
He further argued that the mission should have been a major national event, emphasizing that NASA had to rely on Musk’s company for the rescue.
"It should have been a huge national event. We're finally going to rescue the astronauts who were trapped in the space station .........And this super genius, Elon, is the guy who figured out how to go get them."

"His company rescued them because we can't do it anymore. We couldn't rescue them. We had to rely on his company and you don't hear sh*t about it. It's crazy!"

NASA astronauts Sunita "Suni" Williams and Barry "Butch" Wilmore safely returned to Earth on March 18 after an extended and unplanned nine-month stay aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The duo landed in the Gulf of Mexico off the Florida coast aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule, waving and smiling as they emerged from their spacecraft.
Originally, Williams and Wilmore launched in June 2024 for what was meant to be an eight-day test flight of Boeing’s Starliner capsule. However, due to technical issues, including helium leaks and propulsion malfunctions, NASA decided to keep them on the ISS while returning the Starliner to Earth empty.
