US President Donald Trump came out in support for tech mogul and DOGE boss Elon Musk amid intense scrutiny. In a long post on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, Trump announced his plans to ‘buy a brand-new Tesla car.’

The President said that he will buy the car ‘tomorrow morning’ to show confidence in the billionaire. Calling Musk ‘a truly great American,’ Trump said that the Tesla boss was ‘putting it on line’ to help America.

Responding to the Truth Social post, Musk took to X and tagged Trump with a “Thank you, President” message. The development comes day after Tesla witnessed worst stock performance in past four years. Tesla shares plummeted 15 percent on Monday. Earlier on Monday, UBS Group and Robert W. Baird & Co had made a lower delivery estimates for this quarter. While in America, Musk is facing heat over his DOGE operations, elsewhere, Tesla is registering poor show in EV markets.

Tesla boss remains optimistic despite the latest drubbing in the stock market. “It will be fine long-term,” Musk said in a post while replying to a tweet showing the largest single-day drop.
