The air quality in the national capital remained in the “very poor” category on Sunday morning, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 385, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

As per data from the CPCB’s Sameer app, 18 monitoring stations in Delhi reported air quality in the “severe” category, while 20 stations recorded “very poor” air quality with readings above 300.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered “good”, 51 to 100 “satisfactory”, 101 to 200 “moderate”, 201 to 300 “poor”, 301 to 400 “very poor”, and 401 to 500 “severe”, according to CPCB standards. -- PTI

Russia unleashed a fresh wave of attacks on Ukraine from Friday into Saturday, firing three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missiles and deploying 135 strike drones across multiple regions, EuroNews reported. Ukrainian authorities said at least nine people were killed and 53 injured in the past 24 hours.

The drones were launched from Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Millerovo, Bryansk and Chauda Hvardiyske in occupied Crimea. According to EuroNews, 13 locations were hit by drones and one by a missile, while falling debris from intercepted drones struck four additional areas.

The capital, Kyiv, saw one of the deadliest strikes of the night. Its mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko, said seven people were killed and 36 injured as Russian attacks caused widespread damage across nine neighbourhoods.
