A curfew is enforced in Nepal's capital Kathmandu as pro-monarchy protesters engaged in arson and vandalism across multiple areas on Friday.

A clash broke out between pro-monarchists and police in Kathmandu near the airport. Several rounds of tear gas and rubber bullets fired by the Police. Vehicles and a house torched. Curfew ordered in Tinkune, Sinamangal and Koteshwor area.

According to The Kathmandu Post, a clash at Tinkune during a protest demanding the reinstatement of the Hindu kingdom resulted in injuries to both security forces and protesters. Citing human rights groups, the report mentioned that both Nepal Police and Armed Police Force officers, along with demonstrators, were injured in the incident.

PTI reported that police fired blank rounds to control the escalating situation in the Tinkune area, where thousands of monarchists gathered, chanting slogans like "Raja aau desh bachau" (May the King come to save the country), "Down with the corrupt government," and "We want the monarchy back," as they called for the restoration of the monarchy in Nepal.
