US President Donald Trump claimed that the countries from all over the world are talking to us.
Trump posted on his Truth social account that the Japanese Prime Minister “is sending a top team to negotiate!”
"They have treated the U.S. very poorly on Trade. They don’t take our cars, but we take MILLIONS of theirs. Likewise, Agriculture, and many other “things.” It all has to change, but especially with CHINA!!!," he further added.
While the Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba expressed deep concern over President Donald Trump’s 24% tariff on Japanese goods, calling it “extremely unfortunate” during a 25-minute phone call with Trump.
Talking to reporters after the call, Ishiba said, “I conveyed to President Trump that Japan has been the world's largest investor in the US for five consecutive years, and that I am deeply concerned that the US tariff measures will reduce the willingness of Japanese companies to invest. I also conveyed to him that we should pursue a broad range of cooperation that benefits both Japan and the US, including expanding investment, rather than unilateral tariffs.”
