Bondi Beach shooting: ISIS link probed as father-son duo identified as attackers

A major revelation has emerged in the indiscriminate firing incident at Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Investigators have reportedly recovered an ISIS flag from a vehicle linked to the attackers, raising serious concerns about extremist involvement.

According to ABC News Australia, the Australian Anti-Terrorism Agency is probing possible links to the Islamic State. Authorities believe the attackers had pledged allegiance to ISIS, and the discovery of the flag has intensified the terrorism angle of the investigation.

Police have identified the two alleged gunmen as a father and son. The duo is accused of killing 15 people during a Jewish celebration at Bondi Beach, in what officials have described as a targeted antisemitic attack.

The 50-year-old father was shot dead at the scene, taking the overall death toll to 16. His 24-year-old son remains in critical condition in hospital. The incident marks Australia’s deadliest episode of gun violence in nearly three decades, as the country enters a period of mourning for the victims.
