US President Donald Trump on Monday reiterated his claim that former President Joe Biden was responsible for the ongoing the Russia-Ukraine war, and that he was working to stop it.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The War between Russia and Ukraine is Biden’s war, not mine. I just got here, and for four years during my term, had no problem in preventing it from happening. President Putin, and everyone else, respected your President!” He further claimed, “I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS WAR, BUT AM WORKING DILIGENTLY TO GET THE DEATH AND DESTRUCTION TO STOP.”
Reasserting his long-standing grievance with the 2020 election results, Trump said, “If the 2020 Presidential Election was not RIGGED, and it was… that horrible War would never have happened.”
Trump also criticized President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine and President Joe Biden for doing a “horrible job in allowing this travesty to begin,” arguing that there were “so many ways of preventing it.”
