BAPS Hindu temple in California vandalised; India calls for strict action

The Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills, California, has been desecrated in yet another incident targeting Hindu places of worship in the United States, the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) confirmed on Saturday.

Condemning the act, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) urged local law enforcement to take strict action against the perpetrators and ensure the security of religious sites.

“We strongly condemn such despicable acts and call upon authorities to take stringent action against those responsible while ensuring adequate protection for places of worship,” the MEA stated.

The Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) on Saturday said that Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills faced desecration.

"In the face of another Mandir desecration, this time in Chino Hills, CA, the Hindu community stands steadfast against hate. Together with the community in Chino Hills and Southern California, we will never let hate take root," the BAPS Public Affairs posted on X.
