Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama humorously highlighted US President Donald Trump’s repeated geography mistakes during the European Political Community meeting in Copenhagen.
Rama was seen joking with French President Emmanuel Macron and Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev. Smiling, he told Macron, “You should make an apology … to us because you didn’t congratulate us on the peace deal that President Trump made between Albania and Azerbaijan,” prompting laughter from both leaders.

In a September 2024 Fox News interview, Trump boasted of ending an “unsolvable” war between the two nations, incorrectly naming Albania instead of Armenia. He repeated the mistake during a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, saying his administration had “settled Aber-baijan and Albania.”
Trump’s geographical mix-ups have extended further. At a recent dinner speech, he claimed to have resolved a conflict between Cambodia and Armenia, two countries over 4,000 miles apart, with no such dispute.
Rama’s light-hearted jab drew attention at the summit, capturing the international audience’s amusement while underscoring the ongoing discussion about Trump’s memorable geography errors.
