




The director of Quantum Securities Sanjay Dutt sees flows slowly moving back into emerging markets rather than moving out. On the Nifty, he says, "It may continue to rally towards July if the monsoons are positive."
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Sanjay Dutt of Quantum Securities, spoke about his reading of the market and the road ahead.
Sanjay Dutt, director, Quantum Securities says, he would not be surprised if the Nifty breaches 5,700. However, he says, he would be focusing on individual stories rather than on the index.
A massive 8.9 magnitude quake hit the northeast coast of Japan on Friday, shaking buildings in the capital Tokyo, causing many injuries, at least one fire and triggering a four-metre (13-ft) tsunami, NHK television and witnesses reported.
The markets kicked the week off on a muted note. The frontline indices traded in a narrow range, and finally closed absolutely flat. The Nifty ended the session just below 5,400, while the Sensex shut shop at 18,037, with a 29 point gain.
Sanjay Dutt, Director of Quantum Securities does not expect the markets to fall below the 5200 level, in an exclusive interview to CNBC-TV18 he said that levels below 5200 could not be justified on a fundamental basis.
