




Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi today claimed that the auction for the 2009 edition of the cash-rich T20 tournament was "rigged" in favour of Chennai Super Kings whose owner, N Srinivasan, is now the president of the Indian Cricket Board.
Last week Season 4 of the IPL closed with Chennai Super Kings winning the championship for the second year in a row. The packed stadium was obviously ecstatic with that result. While the BCCI is relieved things have gone off without a hitch
India is in the ICC Cricket World Cup semifinal and no matter what happens next the interest in cricket will zoom up after that big win against Australia. All this will have a positive impact on the IPL that starts of on April 8th. Plans for Season 4 are well underway.
