Zoho has announced a major update to its note-taking application, Zoho Notebook, introducing new agentic AI-powered features aimed at improving how users capture, organise, and retrieve information. Powered by Zoho’s in-house AI engine, Zia, the enhancements include multilingual voice search, real-time translation, content generation, and mind map creation.

AI-powered productivity tools

The company said the newly added tools can help users retrieve contextual answers from their notes, generate insights, and even convert spoken content into timestamped written notes with summaries. Among the key additions are “Ask with My Content” and “Ask Anything,” which allow users to query their stored notes or explore any topic to generate relevant insights. The update also adds “Smart Note Creation,” enabling instant creation of structured content such as checklists, tables, and templates.

Zoho has also introduced “Writing Enhancement” for grammar correction and tone adjustment, as well as “Mind Map Generation” for simplifying lengthy documents into clear, visual formats. Another notable feature, “Meeting Notes,” allows voice input to be transcribed into text with speaker identification, improving note accuracy and collaboration.

Language support and accessibility

A highlight of this update is the “Multilingual Voice Search and Translation” feature, which lets users locate information using voice commands and translate content into multiple languages. Zoho Notebook now supports 80 global languages, including eight Indian languages — Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Oriya, and Sanskrit — making it accessible to a wider user base.

Availability and pricing

Zoho Notebook is available as part of the Zoho One Premium suite starting at Rs 3,500 per user per month, billed annually. It can also be used as a standalone app on Android, iOS, and web platforms, with the Notebook for Business plan priced at Rs 333.25 per user per month. Additionally, Zoho offers a free student version with AI capabilities for users signing up with verified educational email IDs.
