YouTube is quite the popular app across all age groups. Often parents turn to the app when it comes to giving appropriate screen time for their kids. However, sometimes kids can access the YouTube app without their parents’ permission. YouTube’s new feature will allow parents to have more control over viewing habits of their kids. “We’re launching a new parent code feature that you can turn on to prevent kids from watching YouTube signed out or accessing accounts meant for older members of your household,” said YouTube in a blog post.

“We hope this change gives you added comfort in knowing kids cannot use accounts and features on your smart TV that aren’t meant for them, while also making recommendations in your profile more relevant to your interests rather than what you previously watched together as a family,” said YouTube.
This feature is slowly rolling out to all YouTube users and should be available soon.
