Leaked renders of Xiaomi’s upcoming budget smartphone, the Redmi 15, a budget smartphone from Xiaomi's sub-brand, have surfaced online. These renders reveal the phone's design and suggest it may come in three colour variants. The Xiaomi sub-brand also began teasing the launch of two new smartphones on its website, and it could launch the purported Redmi 15 alongside the more budget-friendly Redmi 15C.
Redmi 15: Expected design, specifications
Tipster Arsene Lupin via GSMArena has shared the upcoming Redmi 15’s renders showcasing its display and back design. The phone is revealed to come with uniform bezels on three sides and a slightly thicker bottom edge. A centre-aligned hole punch cutout is visible at the top for the selfie camera. The renders also reveal that the phone will have a vertically aligned triple camera setup.
Meanwhile, a listing for the Redmi 15 on an Italian retailer's website spotted by Xpertpick suggests that the Redmi 15 will sport a 6.9-inch LCD screen. It is expected to be equipped with a 108MP primary camera and will likely feature a 7,000mAh battery. It is also said to have an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
The device will likely join the Redmi 14 5G and Redmi 15C smartphones. Going by the previous leak, these smartphones will likely offer a substantial upgrade over their predecessors with expected improvements in the display, battery, chipset, and camera departments.
