Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, its latest and most powerful flagship smartphone of the year in China. The device builds on the success of its predecessor, offering significant upgrades in performance, battery life, and camera capabilities while retaining the premium design and features that have defined the Ultra series.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The new chipset, according to Xiaomi, delivers up to 45% better performance and 52% lower power consumption, ensuring smoother multitasking and improved efficiency.

The device packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. The phone features a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 3200x1440px resolution, a 1-120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, making it ideal for both media consumption and outdoor use.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes in Black, White, and a special Silver Chrome Edition. The Black and White models feature textured and etched backs, respectively, while the Silver Chrome Edition uses aerospace-grade glass fiber and PU leather for a classic camera-inspired design. The device is protected by Shield Glass 2.0, which offers 16 times improved drop resistance.

The highlight of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is its Leica-tuned quad-camera system. It comes with a 200MP 100mm telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch Samsung HP9 sensor. This senso claims to capture 136% more light than its predecessor. The main camera features a 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor with a fixed f/1.63 aperture, while the ultrawide and mid-zoom cameras use 14mm f/2.2 and 70mm f/1.8 lenses, respectively. All rear cameras support 8K video recording, with the main and telephoto cameras capable of 4K at 120fps.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2, offering enhanced performance, graphics, and AI tools like AI writing and meeting transcription. Xiaomi promises 4 generations of Android updates and 6 years of security updates, ensuring long-term usability.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Chine pricing

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra starts at CNY 6,499 for the 12GB/256GB model, CNY 6,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant, and CNY 7,799 for the 16GB/1TB model.
