Back in April 2025, 4A Games offered Metro 2033 Redux for free across platforms like Steam, GOG, and Xbox. While PC gamers were able to claim the title successfully, Xbox users reported that the game wasn’t redeemable. After weeks of waiting, the developer has finally fixed the issue, and the game is available at no cost on the Xbox Store.

Metro 2033 Redux is a remastered version of the original Metro 2033, featuring improved visuals, performance upgrades, and gameplay refinements. Set in a post-apocalyptic Moscow, the game follows Artyom, a young survivor living in the city’s underground metro system. As mutants roam the surface and rival factions clash in the tunnels, Artyom must journey to warn humanity of an emerging threat.
