After launching the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro smartphones in China and global markets, Vivo is now gearing up to introduce the X200 Ultra smartphone. During the Boao Forum for Asia in China, the company showcased its Vivo Vision mixed reality AR/VR headset, while also confirming the launch timeline of the Vivo X200 Ultra. Moreover, this smartphone will integrate Vivo's latest advancements in the photography department and is likely to come with two dedicated imaging chipsets.
Vivo X200 Ultra launch detailsRecently, Vivo announced at the Boao Forum for Asia that it would launch a new smartphone, named the Vivo 200 Ultra, in the China market. This launch is confirmed to take place in April 2025. Additionally, the handset has been teased to ‘integrate Vivo's latest advancements in imaging.’ The smartphone has already been named the “Official Smartphone of the Boao Forum for Asia.”
The Vivo X200 Ultra will likely launch alongside a Vivo X200s variant. Although, Vivo did not reveal any details about this smartphone, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao teased the design of the Vivo X200s recently on Weibo.
Vivo X200 Ultra: Expected specificationsLast week, a teardown version of the Vivo X200 Ultra rear camera module was shared by Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao. The smartphone is expected to get a 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor and is confirmed to be paired with an 85mm periscope telephoto lens. Further, we can expect two 50MP 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-818 sensors to complete the camera setup.
The handset is also expected to have a 50MP selfie shooter as well. Previous leaks tipped that the Vivo X200 Ultra will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging support. It is also expected to come with a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO BOE 120Hz micro-quad-curved display.
