Vivo is gearing up to launch its next T-series smartphone, the Vivo T4R 5G, in India. Following the recent debut of the Vivo T4 Lite, the upcoming device will be sold online exclusively via Flipkart. Vivo has begun teasing the phone, with a promotional banner highlighting its slim profile and curved-edge design. Though the official price and launch date remain under wraps, leaks suggest that the device could be priced between ₹15,000 and Rs 20,000.
Design and display
Vivo is marketing the T4R 5G as the slimmest quad-curved display smartphone in India, measuring just 7.39mm in thickness. The design features curved edges, a flat camera module on the back, and a minimalist front with a punch-hole display. The company has backed this claim using Counterpoint Research data from Q1 2025.
The Vivo T4R 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, positioning it between the Vivo T4x 5G (Dimensity 7300) and the Vivo T4 5G (Snapdragon 7s Gen 3). It is likely to offer balanced mid-range performance for daily usage and multitasking.
The device may also come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering enhanced protection against dust and water. If confirmed, this would be a notable upgrade in durability compared to previous T-series models.
While the exact camera configuration is yet to be revealed, it is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the back, similar to other models in the lineup. For reference, the Vivo T4 5G includes a 50MP + 2MP setup along with a 32MP selfie camera, while the Vivo T4x 5G offers a similar dual rear camera system with an 8MP front camera.
Expected pricing
According to early estimates, the Vivo T4R 5G may be priced between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000. This would position it between the Vivo T4x 5G (Rs 13,999) and the Vivo T4 5G (Rs 21,999), allowing Vivo to target users looking for a well-designed 5G phone in the lower mid-range segment.
