Truecaller has introduced Scamfeed, a new feature aimed at empowering users to combat fraud collectively. The feature, available within the Truecaller app, enables users to report, discuss, and learn about ongoing scams in real time. It is being rolled out in India first, with a global expansion expected later.

Scamfeed functions as a live, user-powered stream that shares verified scam alerts. People can post their experiences, flag suspicious calls or messages, and read about new fraud tactics. It supports anonymous reporting, threaded discussions, and multimedia uploads. Content can also be shared to platforms like WhatsApp for broader awareness.

According to Truecaller, the tool offers more than just scam reporting. It serves as an early warning system, helping users identify red flags and avoid potential threats. The company has also launched a companion website — www.truecaller.com/scam-alert — that includes guides on how to detect and report scams.

“Scamfeed harnesses the collective vigilance of millions of Truecaller users in India,” said Tonmoy Goswami, Product Director of New Initiatives at Truecaller. He added that it offers a platform for users to exchange real stories and warnings, promoting smarter and safer communication.

Scamfeed welcomes inputs on a wide range of scams — from phishing and identity theft to frauds on dating apps and financial platforms. With the rise in digital fraud, Truecaller aims to make scam awareness a community-driven effort.

The launch also aligns with Truecaller’s broader push to build a safety-first communication platform. By focusing on community-led engagement and transparency, Truecaller hopes to strengthen user trust and drive deeper app engagement. The feature may also help in flagging scam trends faster than traditional methods.

Availability

Scamfeed is now live in India on both Android and iOS versions of the Truecaller app. The company plans to make it available in other regions in the coming months. With more than 450 million active users globally, Truecaller expects the platform to play a key role in digital fraud prevention.
