Tecno Camon 40 series with MediaTek Dimensity Ultimate SoCs, dedicated AI button launched at MWC 2025

Chinse smartphone maker Tecno has introduced its Camon 40 series of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. The series includes the Tecno Camon 40, Camon 40 Pro, Camon 40 Pro 5G, and Camon 40 Premier 5G. Moreover, all of these phones come with a new One-Tap AI Button. The smartphones are expected to hit select global markets soon.

Through a new press release, Tecno confirmed that the Tecno Camon 40 series includes One-Tap FlashSnap Mode and multiple TECNO AI features, improving snapshot speed and user experience. The Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate AI SoC and is the first-ever handset to get this chipset. Further, the series supports up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

All the Tecno Camon 40 series smartphones are equipped with AMOLED displays and have dual stereo speaker units with Dolby Atmos support. The Camon 40 Premier 5G variant is backed by a 5,100mAh battery with 70W wired fast charging support. For optics, all handsets are equipped with 50MP selfie shooters.

However, the highlight of the series is the inclusion of a One-Tap Button paired with the AI-backed FlashSnap mode, which allows users to capture images instantly without considerable lags. Tecno has also packed the Camon 40 series with a variety of AI features like AI Eraser 2.0, AI Perfect Face, and AIGC Portrait 2.0 for enhancing images stored in the gallery. Further, the Ella AI assistant can help with scheduling, navigation, and even recognize objects in photos.
