Samsung’s first tri-fold smartphone confirmed to launch this year along with Galaxy S25 FE

Samsung has outlined its product release plans for the coming months of 2025 during its announcement of the financial results for the second quarter. The South-Korean tech giant is scheduled to launch several new products, which includes its long-awaited triple fold smartphone, Project Moohan extended reality (XR) headset, and Galaxy S25 FE.

Samsung’s tri-fold smartphone, XR headset release timeline
Samsung has confirmed its plans to introduce a new tri-fold smartphone and an XR headset in the second half of the year. The triple-fold device is expected to be called the Galaxy Z TriFold and is likely to launch in October. Meanwhile, its extended reality (XR) headset, named Project Moohan with Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor, is set to be unveiled in a similar timeline.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE release timeline
In its second-quarter earnings call, Samsung's VP of the Mobile Experience division, Daniel Araujo, also confirmed that the Galaxy S25 FE will see an earlier launch. This suggests that the phone could arrive in global markets this month or in early September, as the Galaxy S24 FE was introduced in the last weeks of September last year.

Samsung’s other products’ release timeline
Further, Samsung is expected to expand its tablet lineup this year, with the Galaxy Tab S11 series. Moreover, the company is also tipped to introduce its Galaxy A series of entry-level smartphones, which could include the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G and Samsung Galaxy A07. With these devices, Samsung aims to cater to customers in both high-end and entry-level categories, to fulfill a broad spectrum of consumer needs.
