Samsung’s tri-fold smartphone, XR headset release timeline
Samsung has confirmed its plans to introduce a new tri-fold smartphone and an XR headset in the second half of the year. The triple-fold device is expected to be called the Galaxy Z TriFold and is likely to launch in October. Meanwhile, its extended reality (XR) headset, named Project Moohan with Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor, is set to be unveiled in a similar timeline.

In its second-quarter earnings call, Samsung's VP of the Mobile Experience division, Daniel Araujo, also confirmed that the Galaxy S25 FE will see an earlier launch.
