Samsung is scheduled to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. We can expect to see the arrival of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the Galaxy Ring, the Galaxy Buds 3, and the Galaxy Watch 7 series. Now ahead of the gala showcase, Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series will come with its new BioActive health sensor.
Samsung has revealed that it is launching a new generation of its BioActive health sensor in the ‘next Galaxy Watch’, which is expected to be in the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra, through a blog post. This sensor will provide more accurate health measurements than the original version in the Galaxy Watch 6 series. It will also come with predictive and preventative wellness features.
Further, the new BioActive sensor will have enhanced photodiode performance and Blue, Yellow, Violet, and Ultraviolet LED colors in addition to an increased number of Green, Red, and Infrared LEDs. These new sensors will help in more accurate readings of your heart rate, sleep, blood pressure, blood oxygen, and stress.
Samsung also says the new sensor is 30% more accurate compared to the sensor found on the Galaxy Watch 6 series. It also unlocks new functionalities, starting with the introduction of an 'Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) Index, which provides a clearer picture of your metabolic health and biological aging.
With the correct biological age, the new bioactive sensor will attempt to help you make better decisions about staying healthy.
