Samsung has started teasing the launch of its next Galaxy F-series phone in India. The South Korean company has added a dedicated microsite on Flipkart, which focuses on the letter ‘F’. The listing mentions "Samsung got something fresh on the way". Has multiple adjectives such as ‘futuristic’, ‘fashionable’, ‘fast’, and ‘foto’ mentioned on the page.
Moreover, the device has also been listed on the BIS certification website and Samsung’s support pages as well, indicating its potential specifications and features.
Samsung Galaxy F16: Expected specifications and price
The Galaxy F16 was spotted on the Geekbench database recently, confirming that it will use the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset along with 8GB of RAM. While the storage options haven’t been fully confirmed, the phone is likely to come in 128GB and 256GB versions. There will also be a dedicated microSD card slot to add more storage if needed.
Further, the Galaxy F16 is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate support. It is also said to feature a triple rear camera unit comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra wide-angle lens and an unspecified third sensor. As for selfies, the device could offer a 13MP camera.
There are also speculations that the Galaxy F16 could be similar to the Galaxy A16, which was launched in October last year. If true, then the phone should come with a 5,000mAh battery and 25W charging support. However, many leaks have suggested that the phone could have a lower price tag and would be available for less than Rs 15,000 for the base variant.
