Samsung announces third-edition of Walk-a-thon India challenge: Date, how to participate, prize and more

Samsung India has launched the third edition of 'Walk-a-thon India' challenge for Samsung Health users, running from August 1 to August 30, 2025. Participants who complete 200,000 steps within the 30-day period can win a Galaxy Watch8 or assured discount coupons worth up to INR 15,000. Three lucky winners will receive the Galaxy Watch8, while all other finishers get discount coupons.

Built on the foundation of the Galaxy Watch Ultra's cushion design, the Galaxy Watch8 is 8.6mm thin with a refined profile and Dynamic Lug System for all-day comfort. The smartwatch is the first to come pre-loaded with Gemini, Google's AI assistant, powered by Wear OS 6. Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes in Graphite or Silver finishes, it features a Super AMOLED display with 3,000 nits peak brightness and is powered by a 3nm Exynos W1000 chipset.

The challenge is open exclusively to Samsung smartphone users across India with access to the Samsung Health app. Participants must complete 200,000 steps within the 30-day challenge period from August 1 to August 30, 2025. A real-time leaderboard within the Samsung Health app allows users to monitor progress and compare performance throughout the challenge.
