Samsung Electronics and Netflix have announced a new collaboration to mark the final season of Stranger Things. As part of this partnership, Samsung Galaxy users across 186 countries can download an exclusive Stranger Things theme and wallpapers through the Galaxy Store. The content is available at no additional cost for a limited time starting January 12, and can be accessed by users who download or launch the Netflix app on their Galaxy devices.

The release aligns with the conclusion of Stranger Things, a series that has been part of Netflix’s original programming lineup since 2016 and has maintained strong global viewership over multiple seasons.

Stranger Things Season 5 performance

Netflix released Season 5, Part 1 of Stranger Things on November 27, 2025. The season ranked number one in 91 countries within its opening days and recorded 59.6 million views in the first five days of availability. According to Netflix, this marked the strongest opening performance for an English-language series on the platform. The release also made Stranger Things the first series in Netflix history to place all five seasons simultaneously in the Global Top 10 list, a position it held for five consecutive weeks. The final season is now fully available to stream worldwide.

Samsung’s Galaxy theme is based on visuals and settings from Season 5, extending the show’s presence beyond streaming screens to mobile devices.

What Galaxy users can download

The Stranger Things Galaxy collection will be available from January 12 through February 22. It includes one dedicated theme and five wallpapers featuring live-action characters and locations from the series. Visual elements reference settings such as Hawkins and the Upside Down, aligning with the tone and imagery used in the final season.

The theme and wallpapers can be applied to compatible Galaxy smartphones, allowing users to customise home screens and lock screens during the availability period.

Ongoing Samsung–Netflix partnership

The latest collaboration builds on an existing partnership between Samsung and Netflix focused on content-led customisation experiences. The companies previously worked together during the launch of Stranger Things Season 4 and more recently introduced special Galaxy themes tied to the film “KPop Demon Hunters.” The Season 5 theme continues this approach, linking Galaxy device customisation with major Netflix releases.
