Reliance Jio has expanded its prepaid plan portfolio with the launch of a new affordable prepaid plan with a free JioHotstar subscription, additional data and long-term validity. This plan is designed for users looking for an affordable way to access Hotstar content across multiple devices, including smartphones and smart TVs. Unlike Jio’s standard prepaid packs, this recharge does not offer voice calling or SMS services, making it a data-focused plan primarily for streaming.
Reliance Jio Rs 100 plan benefitsThe key highlight of this recharge is the inclusion of a Jio Hotstar subscription, enabling users to watch movies, TV shows, and live sports, such as IPL 2025. The plan supports content streaming at up to 1080p resolution on smart TVs and mobile devices. In comparison, the standalone Jio Hotstar mobile plan is priced at Rs 149 but limits streaming to smartphones, whereas the Super plan at Rs 299 allows multi-device access. This makes the Rs 100 plan a more budget-friendly alternative for users who want to stream content on larger screens.
Although the plan includes 5GB of high-speed data, it may not be suitable for heavy data users. Those who need more data for extended streaming sessions can opt for Jio’s Rs 195 cricket data pack, which provides 15GB of data along with a 90-day Jio Hotstar mobile subscription. However, this pack only supports streaming on smartphones, unlike the ₹100 plan, which works on smart TVs as well.
Apart from the introduction of the Rs 100 plan, Jio has updated its Rs 69 and Rs 139 data add-ons. Previously, these add-ons remained valid as long as the user’s base plan was active. Under the revised policy, both now come with a standalone validity of seven days. The Rs 69 pack provides 6GB of data, while the Rs 139 pack offers 12 GB of data.
