Reddit is rolling out some new tools to make it easier for people to post and take part in discussions—especially those who usually just scroll and read without engaging, according to an engadget report.
One of the biggest changes is Rules Check, which helps users avoid breaking subreddit rules before they even hit “post.” There’s a little wand icon in the post editor—click it, and Reddit will highlight anything in your post that might not follow the rules. This is still being tested on iOS and Android, but it should make things a lot smoother once fully rolled out.
Another handy feature is Post Recovery. If your post gets removed because it breaks a subreddit’s rules, Reddit will now give you a clear reason why—and even suggest other communities where it might be a better fit. No more guessing where to repost!
To make sure people post in the right place to begin with, Reddit is also adding Community Suggestions. As you start typing a post, it’ll recommend subreddits that might be a good match. It’ll also warn you if a community has posting requirements, like needing a certain number of karma points or an older account.
And finally, for those who like to track their posts’ performance, there’s Post Insights. This feature shows stats like views, upvotes, and shares, which is especially useful for creators and businesses trying to boost engagement.
Most of these updates are already live, except for Rules Check, which is still being tested. Overall, these changes should make Reddit easier to use and help more people join the conversation!
